Club Summer Tournament 2010
1. Do not enter without reading the rules (ignorance is not an excuse).
2. Closing date for entries 5pm Tuesday 4th May 2010, when the draw will be made and the competition will start (draws will be posted on the website soon afterwards).
3. Only full, country, student and vacation student members are eligible to enter.
4. Without exception, late entries or replacements after the draw has been made will not be accepted.
5. To enter, write your name on the relevant sheet (include your e-mail address if you would like to receive details of the draw). Please tick the box to confirm you have read the rules.
6. If you are entering for another person, you must have their agreement.
7. Please ensure you are available to play matches during the period 4th May to 25th September 2010.
8. Finals day is Saturday 25th September 2010. Please make sure you are available that day.
9. You must contact your opponent(s) as soon as possible to arrange your match.
10. If you cannot contact or do not get a reply from your opponent(s), contact the tournament referee as soon as possible.
11. If you are going away, please inform the tournament referee and your opponent(s), if known.
12. Players who make no attempt to contact their opponent(s) might be withdrawn from the tournament.
13. Only 2 courts can be booked for tournament matches at any one time. To maximise court availability, on weekend mornings courts may only be booked at 09.00, 11.00 or 12.30. Floodlit courts cannot be booked at any time.
14. Results (including scores) must be written on the draw sheet immediately after a match. (Please also e-mail them to the tournament referee, if possible).
15. Losers of 1st and 2nd round matches are eligible for the plate tournament if the relevant box was ticked on the entry form. Also, to be eligible, the match has to be played; therefore it is important the score is written on the draw sheet. Losers by walkover or toss of coin will not be eligible for the plate tournament.
16. When you have won a match and your opponent(s) for the next round are already known, it is your responsibility to contact them as soon as possible.
17. All matches are the best of 3 sets, the first 2 sets to be decided by tie breaks, if necessary, and the 3rd to be played out (until 2 games clear).
18. All matches must be completed by the relevant date. If you cannot complete your match by the date, please contact the tournament referee.
19. Matches not played by the relevant date, where no contact has been made with the tournament referee, will be decided by the toss of a coin.
20. The tournament referee’s decision is final.
