A Doubles Tournament will take place on Thursday 1st January 2009 between 12.45 and 4.00pm.
It is £2 to enter and is open to all adult and student membership categories.
Snacks will be provided.
Please enter your name on the noticeboard if you want to take part.

For those Friday morning players, I am organsing a Christmas Lunch at Sazios on Friday, 12th December from 12.30 p.m. - if you are wishing to join the “team”, please give Catherine your £5.00 deposit as soon as possble. A set menu will be in operation at £16 per person.

The Club now has available to student members (adult sizes could be special ordered) a WELTC Tennis Club navy blue sweatshirt at £25 each. They are of exceptional quality and have the Club name printed in white on the back. They come in varying sizes from small, medium to large. Please contact Catherine Pain or bring your £25 down to the Club on Junior Night from 5.00 p.m. to make a direct purchase. Larger sizes can be ordered.

Volunteers are wanted to umpire at the handicap finals day on Saturday 6th December.
The ladies’ and gentlemen’s singles finals will start at 10.30am and the mixed doubles will start between 12 and 1pm (depending on the progress of certain competitors still in 2 events).
Umpires will be provided with free refreshments.

If you would like to take part in the Ladies’ or Gentlemen’s Doubles Handicap Tournaments, please enter your name on the noticeboard at the clubhouse (partners will be drawn at random).
Only Full, Country and Student members are eligible to enter this tournament.
Closing date for entries is Tuesday 9th December 2008 at 5pm. No late entries will be accepted.
Finals day will be Saturday 7th March 2009.

Do you normally enter the Club ballot for Wimbledon Tickets?
From now on, only members who have registered with LTA’s British Tennis scheme before 30 November 2008 will be eligible for 2009 Wimbledon tickets.
If you haven’t already signed up, but would like to do so, please click on the link below to the relevant LTA webpage to find out more, and, if you wish, to sign up to British Tennis Membership. British Tennis Membership is free for members of tennis clubs until 2012 [we don’t know what will happen after that, but cancelling membership would always be an option].

Please put the date of Saturday, 6th December in your diaries for the annual tennis club Christmas party at The Sandy Lodge Golf Club, Northwood. Tickets will cost £37.50 per person, £25.00 for students. A coach will be available on the evening at an extra cost of £5.00 per person.
