Court Work Information

Please bear with us, we are fixing your courts

Court 3 will be closed from Thursday December 10 for essential maintenance. This is the junior courts so please give juniors priority on another court during this work. All courts should be back in use by this weekend.

How can you help?
Please remember the rules on court priority, designed to allow maximum playing time for as many members as possible. The entire rule book can be found here.

For evening play: all members must take turns to play in the floodlights on court 1 and 2. Always offer other players to move once you complete your set on courts 1 or 2. 

Club matches can be booked during the works.

7 Priority and Courtesy on Court

7.1 Members should vacate their court at the end of a set if there are other members waiting to play.  
7.2 Members should vacate their court at the end of a game if the court has been previously booked. 
7.3 A Court Bookings Diary is kept in the clubhouse and should be referred to for court availability, in conjunction with the court allocation schedule which defines the periods during which court bookings are permitted. 
7.4 Members may enter bookings only for club tournament matches or inter-club matches. Such bookings must be made by the end of the previous day - when rule 7.2 may be applied. 
7.5 Courts may not be booked during Club Social Sessions. 
7.6 Members may not reserve a court by standing on it unless they are ready to play. 
7.7 When an adult is playing with a junior, see rule 12.8. 

As the "Junior" court is undergoing maintenance, please ensure you allow waiting juniors to play on one of the top courts and encourage them to come one court.

Nothing beats common sense and courtesy, chill out on the balcony if you have to wait, be mindful to those waiting.
